Lesson 6: Basic Principles of Graphics and Layout

Balance is a visual weight of objects which has three types namely Symmetrical, Asymmetrical and Radial. Emphasis is area in the design that may appear different in size, texture, shape or color to attract the viewer’s attention. Movement is visual elements guide the viewer’s eye around the screen. Pattern, Repition and Rhythm are the repeating visual element, followed by Proportion and Variety that uses several design element
s to draw viewer’s attention.
